Carbon emissions from industries play a large part in climate change’s dangerous progression–thus, the need to reduce them.
This is the raison d’etre of the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP). CDP is an organization based in London that seeks to shift the business culture into proactively protecting our natural resources and preventing drastic climate change. CDP strives to achieve this by seeking full disclosure from organizations on their carbon emissions, so they can be assessed internally by the organization and externally by investors and stakeholders.
CDP obtains this information by employing a climate change-focused questionnaire organizations can answer. Organizations will be graded based on their response and their disclosures will be archived and made available to interested parties. Through transparency, CDP hopes to instill environmental responsibility and promote conscious efforts towards sustainability in the corporate world.
As an organization invested in sustainability, Drink lives by frameworks like that of CDP. We fully support the CDP and environmental responsibility.
